Thermotec Conservatory Roof Pricing
One of the most common questions we get asked is, ‘how much do Thermotec replacement roof panels cost?’
However, this is an almost impossible question to answer as two conservatories can be exactly the same size, but still be vastly different in price. Our roof panels are completely bespoke, therefore there is no ‘average price’. Here are the factors we base our prices on:
Angles
All conservatory roof framework varies; therefore it is important for us to know the exact angles we are working with. Angles are particularly important for pricing up replacement panels due to how they are manufactured and optimised out of sheets of aluminium. By ensuring the sheets are machine cut to the exact shape required, it helps us to reduce the amount of waste, which in turn reduces the cost.
Conservatory Roof Type
The type of roof your conservatory has must also be taken into account when giving a quotation. Each roof will have its own intricacies to consider when estimating the cost. For example, a P-shaped conservatory will take longer to install than a simple lean-to roof. Also, older roofs can be difficult to disassemble, which will also have an impact on the price. As a result of these factors, the price can increase or decrease.
Roof Rafter Depths and Bearings
Due to our roof panels being completely bespoke, it is important for us to check that the depth of the panels match the depth of your existing roof framework. The deeper the rafter (roof framework), the more material will be required. This is integral to our calculations, especially when considering angles and shapes.
Panel Colour Options
Some of the colours and finishes we offer can affect the final price, as well as some external parts and dual colour adding to the overall costs. Therefore, it is important to take these factors into consideration.
Feasibility of Installation
Due to the 10-year guarantee we offer, it is important for us to visually inspect the existing structure that has been supplied and/or fitted by a different company, to ensure that you are going to be happy with the finished product. If we deem your conservatory not structurally sound or spot an underlying issue, we will advise you accordingly. On a very rare occasion, we may need to quote you for new framework, for example if your conservatory is old or poorly constructed, if this is the case, we will always give you impartial advice.
Size of Panels
Our panels are bespoke and manufactured to fit the exact measurements of your conservatory. Due to this, we will need the exact length and width of your existing panels.
Extras
Although our primary focus is fitting new conservatory roof panels, we will also fix or replace any other damaged or broken parts of your roof, for example, finials, guttering, top caps, end caps, and crests. This can also be discussed during the final price stage, where the price is fixed, with no hidden costs unaccounted for.

How does Thermotec compare to other roof upgrade options?
The price of our roof panels depends on a range of factors due to every installation being different, as previously mentioned. We’ve produced a table below in which you can see how we compare with other available options. We are generally more expensive than polycarbonate and glass roofs, but not as expensive as other options, such as having a completely new tiled effect warm roof. We will also not cause the hassle and disturbance that this can cause (The guide below is for illustration purposes only:)
